This piece was started using diluted acrylic I playfully "splashed" onto a piece of paper. I waited until my watery color mix had separated (the hues eventually split in water) and played with it on the paper: I wanted to see the different hues I used to mix in the color, I wanted to see them translated onto the paper. From there, I simply played around with colored pencils and archival pens, using a bit of collage too. I love these kinds of works, they are spontaneous and can inform bigger pieces later on.
